About BuildKabul

Legal work belongs with licensed professionals.

How partnership documentation, approvals and payments should be handled — and the warning signs that they are not.

In short

What this means in practice.

Partnership and legal work is processed through licensed professionals and official procedures. This page explains what that means in practice, because the most damaging problems in this market usually begin with an informal shortcut that felt reasonable at the time.

01

Documentation reviewed independently

Any partnership agreement should be reviewed by a professional acting for you, not only by one acting for the other side. If you are discouraged from doing this, treat it as a warning.

02

Ownership verified before commitments

Ownership and documentation status are established before a development structure is proposed. A partnership built on unresolved title is a dispute waiting to happen.

03

Payments through official channels only

Never send money or original documents outside verified BuildKabul channels. No legitimate stage of a project requires an informal transfer to an individual.

04

If something feels wrong

Contact BuildKabul directly using the phone number or email published on this website, and confirm before acting on any instruction you were not expecting.

In more depth

The warning signs worth knowing.

Most serious losses in this market do not begin with a complex fraud. They begin with an informal arrangement that seemed reasonable — a payment to an individual to speed something up, a document handed over without a copy, an agreement made verbally between people who trusted each other, or pressure to sign quickly before an opportunity disappears.

Urgency is the most reliable warning sign. A genuine development opportunity does not evaporate because you took a week to have an agreement reviewed. Anyone applying time pressure to prevent scrutiny is telling you something important about what scrutiny would find.

The second warning sign is discouragement of independent advice. A party confident in the fairness of their agreement has no reason to object to your lawyer reading it. Objection is information.

  • Never send money or original documents to an individual
  • Keep copies of everything you hand over
  • Have any agreement reviewed by a professional acting for you
  • Treat urgency and pressure to sign as a warning, not an opportunity
  • Verify unexpected requests directly using published contact details

Common questions

Questions we are actually asked.

Someone contacted me claiming to be from BuildKabul. How do I check?

Contact us using the phone number or email published on this website, and confirm before acting. Do not use contact details supplied in the message you received.

Should I have my own lawyer?

Yes. Any agreement should be reviewed by a professional acting for you, not only by one acting for the other side. We treat this as normal practice.

Is a verbal agreement enough between people who trust each other?

No. Nearly every dispute we have seen began as an understanding between people who trusted each other and remembered it differently later.

What if my documentation is incomplete?

That is common and often resolvable, but it should be resolved before a development structure is agreed rather than during construction.

Verify before you act.
